The Treasure of a Good Foundation

  • Audio

Fr. Vijay gives a talk about the command that Paul gives to those who God has blessed with wealth.

1 Timothy 6:17 - 19

As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life.

Let No One Despise Your Youth

  • Audio

In 1 Timothy 4:12, St. Paul commands Timothy to let no one despise his youth. H.G. Bishop Youssef explains to us the meaning behind this verse. Often times, as young people we like to make excuses about our service to the Lord or think that we will develop our spiritual relationship with God when we get older. On the contrary, we are commanded by God to “remember the Lord in your youth." In explaining this verse, H.G. Bishop Youssef reflects on the lives of some Old and New Testament Biblical youth characters that set excellent examples for us to follow and prove to us the blessing of remembering the Lord in our youth.
